Epoxy Surfboards

Tonik Surfboards - Epoxy

Traditionally surfboards have always been glassed with polyester resin.  For decades, boats, sailboards and most other watercraft have been constructed with the lighter, stronger and more flexible Epoxy substitute.

Epoxy surfboard options have until recently been largely ony available in standard models otherwise known as “pop-outs”

What does this mean for me?

Basically, boards manufactured with epoxy can be made lighter and stronger to enhance performance.

Whilst not bullet-proof, epoxy allows you to get a board that feels like 4oz but lasts like 6oz.

Any board from our range is available in Epoxy construction.  We also offer one of the world’s few totally custom epoxy options. Whether you prefer epoxy on your standard polyurethane blank or you’re keen to try our new-age EPS blanks with PVC stinger options, feel free to get in-touch.

Using Epoxy resin gives you the versatility to use EPS or Polyurethane blanks and timber or PVC stringers.

The Epoxy manufacturing process adds around 1 week to the wait and only $50 to your purchase price….a small price for a board that feels/rides like new, for much longer.
